I began skiing on a small lake in Nebraska in the early 1970's. I skied for many years on the Illinois River near Ottawa. I spent a few years show skiing with the 'Ottawa Ski Team'. I enjoy trick skiing, slalom and goofing around on our old plywood disc. My interest in serious skiing was reinvigorated when our son began participating in Collegiate Skiing at Missouri State. Skiing on the course is very enjoyable. As a friend of mine says: 'the difference between free skiing and skiing the course is like hitting golf balls at the driving range versus playing on the golf course'. You definitely know if you are having a good or bad day!
My personal best so far is 2 @ 32-15 off.

Hope to keep skiing as long as the old body holds up!

I have been skiing since I was about 25 and love anything to do with being on the water. You will find me riding wakeboards, kneeboards and our 3 foot disc but slalom skiing is my passion. I am consistent at 32-34 MPH 15' off and my PB is 2 buoys at 22' off 34 MPH. When wakeboarding I have a few jumps, 180s and surface tricks.

Fun Fact: I don't wear ski gloves!

I started skiing at just 18-months-old with only a few words in my vocabulary: ski, water, go. Since then I've graduated from the baby skies all the way to a 2018 Radar Lyric slalom ski. I'm looking forward to getting out on the water in 2020 and maybe even skiing in a few competitions.
