I began skiing on a small lake in Nebraska in the early 1970's.
I skied for many years on the Illinois River near Ottawa.
I spent a few years show skiing with the 'Ottawa Ski Team'.
I enjoy trick skiing, slalom and goofing around on our old plywood disc.
My interest in serious skiing was reinvigorated when our son began participating in
Collegiate Skiing at Missouri State. Skiing on the course is very enjoyable.
As a friend of mine says: 'the difference between free skiing and skiing the course is
like hitting golf balls at the driving range versus playing on the golf course'.
You definitely know if you are having a good or bad day!
My personal best so far is 2 @ 32-15 off.
Hope to keep skiing as long as the old body holds up!
